Flamur Çaka — Employee of the Month

I’m Flamur Çaka, a recent Business Informatics graduate and a Software Developer intern at Open Data Kosovo.

ODK was the first institution to open the gates for me in my post-graduation period and offer me the chance to work on a ‘real business’ environment, by getting me involved on actual projects such as digital solutions; ODK had with their partners.

During these three mothns I had the chance to apply what I’ve already learned in the past three years in college, but most importantly, I had the opportunity to learn a lot of new stuff in the development process, stuff that just can’t be fully covered within the college curricula due to the nature of the projects.

The team here has been very friendly and open towards me, helping me integrate within the organization in a very short period of time. The tech team with very qualified members guided me through the daily processes awaiting, helping me grow professionally more during this time.

Being chosen as the Employee of the Month meant so much for me, as I saw that what I’ve been giving until that time, even though I was still at a learning process, was evaluated and appreciated by my teammates.

The supportive atmosphere here and the opportunity to learn and grow more through different projects with a lot of ODK’s partners has made the time here a highly valuable experience that I’ll carry with me as I continue on with the path I’ve chosen.
